PRA returns the paraffins back into the oil phase of the crude without changing the the grade of the crude oil. PRA © significantly reduces the frequency for scraping and pigging land and subsea pipelines. PRA © improves viscosity of crude oil even in cold water and cold climate conditions.

PRA © is applied to Wells and pipelines by either mixing with adequate amounts of good crude oil and injecting into the well bore or by injecting neat directly down the annulus and circulating around the production tubing and back down the annulus for at least two circulations.

PRA © breaks down the paraffin, causing the paraffins to go back into solution with the oil, staying in solution with the crude until refining takes place.

When applied to producing wells, PRA also disperses scale deposits which occur in the well bore in addition to removing all paraffin precipitations and accumulations. In addition to eliminating paraffin build up around the tubing and pumping components, all existing and future deposits will also be eliminated and prevented from accumulating in the flow lines and separators when PRA © is added via a drip or injection system.

PRA © also keeps the heater-treaters operating more effectively by reducing internal build-up.

By lowering the oil viscosity, there is an increase in the amount of well flow.  This also provides improved above-ground handling and lowers costs as the oil flow efficiency is dramatically improved.
